Santa’s Anonymous Coordinator & Full-Time Program Coordinator

Full-Time Program Coordinator (35hrs/week)

The Bow Valley Food Alliance is looking for a community-minded organizer, connector and doer to help bring our programs and priorities to life.

This is a one-year position of up to 35 hours/week, focused on program coordination, community outreach, partnerships, events and communications. If you care about food access, enjoy building relationships and are equally comfortable organizing a workshop, coordinating volunteers and telling a great community story, this role could be for you.

Your mission …

  • Help identify gaps in food access and coordinate collaborative community responses

  • Promote programs and initiatives through social media, newsletters, our website, posters and partner networks

  • Gather stories, feedback, photos and program information that help us understand and communicate our impact

  • Keep community food resources and food asset information current and accessible

  • Support public education, research, consultation and advocacy grounded in what we hear from community members and frontline partners

Some days you might be coordinating a Fresh Food Box pickup. Other days you could be planning a workshop, meeting with a community partner, updating a webpage or helping tell the story of why this work matters.

We’re building stronger, more connected food systems across the Bow Valley and we know that work happens best together. Snacks are still highly encouraged.

Santa’s Anonymous Coordinator

October 16, 2026 – January 29, 2027 | 100-hour contract | Banff & Lake Lousie 

Since 1984, Santa’s Anonymous has brought the Banff and Lake Louise community together to support local individuals and families during the holiday season.

For 2026, Santa’s Anonymous is partnering with the Bow Valley Food Alliance (BVFA) to hire a seasonal Coordinator who can take the reins, keep the moving pieces moving, and help us deliver another meaningful holiday campaign, while setting the program up for success in future years.

This is for you if …

  • A strong organizer who can turn ideas into action, manage competing priorities and build genuine relationships along the way.

  • You’re comfortable working independently, communicating with a wide range of people, keeping good records and jumping between spreadsheets, emails, community conversations and the occasional bit of holiday chaos.

  • Knowledge of Banff, Lake Louise and the Bow Valley community is a definite asset.

  • Most importantly, you understand that behind every spreadsheet, gift card and donation is a neighbour and that this program works because a community chooses to look after one another.

Your mission …

  • Coordinate campaign communications, marketing and social media.

  • Manage grocery gift card purchasing, distribution and related logistics.

  • Liaise with community partners, agencies, local businesses and volunteers.

  • Support fundraising, donations and funding applications, including tracking and financial reconciliation.

  • Coordinate holiday activities and events where capacity allows.

  • Complete a post-program evaluation and document key processes, contacts, timelines and recommendations for future delivery.

A main deliverable: create a practical Santa’s Anonymous handover package; capturing past/current learnings and supporting future coordinators with a clear roadmap.
