Bow Valley Fresh Food Box FAQ

The Bow Valley Fresh Food Box is a community-driven program offering fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables at a lower cost. Each month, you can purchase a medium-sized box containing approximately 15 different produce items which can include bunches, servings and multiple pieces (e.g. 4 apples, grapes).
Pick-up is available in Banff, Canmore, Exshaw, and Lake Louise.

Our partner, Odd Bunch, sources “odd” or surplus produce from local farms and suppliers—perfectly good but often overlooked.
We deliver it to your chosen pickup location.

Each medium box includes approximately 15 different types of fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables, sourced to reflect the time of year and what’s available.

Anyone! If you’re interested in enjoying affordable, healthy produce and can pick up a box from one of our locations, you’re welcome to participate.

Yes! Supported or subsidized boxes are available to community members who are registered with a municipal affordability programs such as the Banff or Lake Louise Access Card or the Canmore Affordability Card.

If you have a valid Banff or Lake Louise Access Card or Canmore Affordability Card you can order the subsidized box option listed on the web page. Please show your card at pick up.

Unfortunately, missed boxes are not refundable and will be donated to local food programs.

Customization is not available. However, if there are items you won’t use, feel free to donate them—we’ll ensure they go to someone in need.
