Join Canmore Food and Friends on Monday evenings from 5 pm - 7 pm for a free and nutritious meal. Due to COVID-19, Food and Friends is currently takeout only. If you are symptom-free, bring your mask and takeout container and come get dinner to take with you.

Banff Food Rescue

Banff Food Rescue (Lower Level Sundance Mall, Banff)

Help keep good food from becoming food waste with Banff Food Rescue. Pick up a bag of food for a $5 suggested donation. Open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6 pm to 7 pm.

The Canmore Food Recovery Barn is an initiative to recover edible food waste and provide food to people within the community. Pick up food on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at Lutheran Church, Canmore. Suggested donation of $5.

Lunch To Go

Banff Park Church (455 Cougar St., Banff)

Every Tuesday from 12 pm - 1 pm you can pick up delicious homemade chilli and a bun at Banff Park Church - just reheat and serve. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are also available. Free and open to everyone!

Preservation Picnic

Banff Central Park Gazebo

We are excited to host a Preservation Picnic with various demos, panel chats, and more! This inaugural event will bring together local food experts, farmers, and food lovers for a day of festivities centred around sustainable food systems and the art of food preservation.

The Preservation Picnic will take place from 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM and will feature:

  • Welcome & Elder Blessing

  • 3 unique food-related demonstrations

  • 2 panel discussions

  • Lots of opportunities to connect with local food actors and enthusiasts throughout the day
